Bakersfield HOW Dinner for Maria Salinas January 21st

Please RSVP to allow proper headcount and food order for Elements Venue. This is pre-paid dinner only. Please bring $10 cash gift per guest to registration. Please indicate in the NOTES who you would like to sit with -We recommend all your friends list one person's name. HOW IT WORKS: Attendees are asked to give a minimum gift of $10 (cash), which will be given to the recipient at the end of the evening. Dinner is an additional pre-paid charge ($20.00 + cc fees) which includes dinner, tea and water. A raffle, live and silent auction is held the same evening for which all proceeds benefit the recipient. The prizes are gifted from our generous vendors and local community. At the end of the evening, the entire proceeds from the $10 gift bowl and raffle tickets are handed over to the evening's recipient. As nice as the money is, the feeling of support and community is what really makes a difference! If you bring a CHECK for the recipient gift, please make it out to the RECIPIENT. HOW RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED: During the dinner, attendees are invited to nominate and sponsor a recipient for the next dinner. The recipient for the next dinner is randomly drawn by the current recipient. The next dinner recipient is announced later that evening. Sponsors agree to provide a biography of their nominee and to provide prizes for the prize drawing and to help sell the prize drawing tickets at the next dinner. Helping One Woman dinners are centered on a monthly “Girls’ Night Out” for a woman in our community who is going through, or has gone through, an irreplaceable loss within the past 18 months. HOW describes an irreplaceable loss as when a woman has a life altering experience, such as a medical diagnosis or tragedy. Each guest purchases their own meal AND provides a $10.00 or greater cash gift at each month’s dinner. 100% of this money will be given to the recipient at the end of the evening.
