HOW Merced Honoring Barbara Cervantes

To guarantee yourself a spot at our next dinner, please RSVP by clicking "reserve" above. Using this mysosevent.com link, you'll be paying for your dinner directly to the restaurant. The cost is $21 (plus service fees) per person. This covers your meal, a non-alcoholic beverage, tax, and tip. All of our events have open seating and it's based on first come, first serve. Even though our event is titled Helping One Woman, we welcome and encourage men and children to attend as well. The more the merrier. On the night of the event, attendees are asked to give a minimum gift of $10 (cash) to the honoree. The gift is given at the door. If you bring a check for the honoree's gift, please make it out in the honoree's name. There is a prize drawing for which tickets are sold, $1 each or 6 for $5. At the end of the evening, the entire proceeds from the $10 gift bowl and the prize drawing tickets are handed over to the evening's honoree. During the dinner, attendees are invited to nominate and sponsor an honoree for the next dinner. Each individual can fill out ONE nomination form to nominate a woman in our community that is going through, or has gone through, an irreplaceable loss within the past 12 months. The honoree for the next dinner is randomly drawn by the current honoree. The next dinner honoree is announced later that evening. Sponsors agree to provide a biography of their nominee and to provide prizes for the prize drawing and to help sell the prize drawing tickets at the next dinner. Raffle prize contributions are always welcome. If you would like to contribute raffle prizes or monetary donations, please reach out to one of our H.O.W. Merced team members or mail them to: H.O.W.
